In the U.S., jurors found porn actress Devin Michaels guilty of murdering her ex-husband, realtor Jonathan Willett. This was reported by the New York Post.
Michaels and Willett married in 2012 and divorced in 2018; later, the woman married his son. On August 6, 2023, Willett's mother discovered his decapitated body, wrapped in blankets and treated with chemicals.
During interrogation, Michaels stated that she struck Willett "with something like a candlestick" while giving him a massage in the bedroom. "He didn’t say anything. He just stopped moving," she claims. She then cut off his head, took it home in a laundry basket, and disposed of it in a trash bin.
The weapon used in the murder was never found, and neither the head nor the dismemberment tools were located. Michaels' lawyer insisted that the woman was innocent, as she would not have been able to decapitate a man of that build by herself. Furthermore, according to him, no one heard or saw anything.
In 2024, Michaels struck a deal with the prosecution and pleaded guilty in exchange for early release after 15 years. During the sentencing, she reiterated her innocence, prompting the case to be sent for jury consideration. The woman faces life imprisonment.
