The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced the prevention of an alleged attack using a drone and a sniper, which, according to the investigation, could have been directed at the UFC Freedom 250 event on the grounds of the White House in Washington.
According to American media reports citing official sources, the event took place on the South Lawn of the White House and was timed to coincide with President Donald Trump's birthday, as well as the upcoming 250th anniversary of U.S. independence.
According to the FBI, five suspects have been detained as part of the investigation, believed to be involved in the preparation of a possible attack. The agency claims that the plan included the use of a drone and sniper weapons.
The operation to prevent the threat was conducted in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies. Details of the arrests and the motives of the suspects have not yet been disclosed in the interest of the investigation.
