Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei addressed the citizens of the country, stating that the opponents of the Islamic Republic are trying to exploit internal problems to weaken the state after setbacks on the battlefield.
In a message read on his behalf during events commemorating the anniversary of the death of the founder of the Islamic Republic, Ruhollah Khomeini, and one of the main Shia holidays, Khamenei emphasized the necessity of maintaining national unity.
According to him, Iran's enemies seek to undermine the morale of the population, spread disappointment, and provoke internal discord. He noted that such actions are seen as part of a broader campaign to pressure the country.
Khamenei called on citizens to maintain cohesion and not to succumb to sentiments that could weaken society. He stated that any steps that contribute to the spread of pessimism or distrust among the population effectively play into the hands of Iran's adversaries.
The address also emphasizes that the resilience of society and the unity of the people remain crucial factors in countering external pressure. The Iranian leadership regularly highlights the need for societal consolidation in the face of regional tensions and international challenges.
