On the night of Wednesday, Ukraine attacked the occupied Crimea and several southern regions of Russia with drones and missiles. Reports indicate fires, building damage, and possible strikes on military infrastructure.

Ukrainian forces launched a series of strikes on Crimea and southern regions of Russia on the night of Wednesday. Sevastopol, Rostov and Voronezh regions, as well as Krasnodar Krai, were under attack.

According to Russian authorities, around midnight, Sevastopol was attacked by drones and Storm Shadow missiles.

The city’s head appointed by Moscow, Mikhail Razvozhaev, reported that one of the missiles hit the building of the Southern Branch of the Central Bank, causing a fire. The blast wave also damaged a neighboring eight-story residential building.

In another part of the city, an administrative building, which authorities stated was not in use, was damaged. The Russian side claims that there were no casualties.

Simultaneously, strikes were recorded in other regions of southern Russia. The governor of Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, stated that air defense systems shot down two "high-speed targets." However, the independent publication Astra reports that residents of Voronezh saw thick smoke near a military airfield.

In Rostov region, according to Governor Yuri Slyusari, missile debris caused car fires. Two women were injured, one of whom is in serious condition. Astra also reports a fire at an aircraft repair plant.

Reports of explosions also came from Tuapse in Krasnodar Krai. Local authorities claim that drone debris fell onto the territory of a maritime terminal.

At the same time, residents reported powerful explosions near an oil refinery.

The Tuapse Oil Refinery has repeatedly been targeted by Ukrainian drones in recent months. Previous similar attacks have led to large fires and temporary disruptions in the plant's operations.

In recent months, Ukraine has increasingly targeted facilities deep within Russian territory, particularly airfields, oil depots, logistics, and energy infrastructure.

Thus, Kyiv is trying to complicate the supply of the Russian army and reduce its capabilities to strike Ukrainian territory.

For residents of southern regions of Russia and Crimea, nighttime air raid alerts and the operation of air defense systems are gradually becoming an almost regular part of life.

Against the backdrop of the ongoing war, the intensity of attacks from both sides has noticeably increased in recent weeks.
