Whose London? Emigrants from the USSR occupy nearly half of the top 10 richest citizens of Britain

Natives of the former USSR occupied four spots in the top 10 richest residents of the UK. The corresponding list was published by The Times.

The third place went to Ukrainian native Leonard Blavatnik, owner of the industrial holding Access Industries, with a fortune of around £27 billion.

In seventh place, the authors of the ranking placed Nikolai Storonsky, co-founder of the fintech platform Revolut, who was born in Dolgoprudny, near Moscow, and moved to the UK in 2006. Today, his capital is estimated at £16.5 billion.

In eighth place, with a fortune of £16 billion, is Alex Gerko, founder of the trading company XTX Markets. The Moscow native received British citizenship in 2016.

Rounding out the top ten are brothers Igor and Dmitry Bukhman — creators of the gaming holding Playrix, with a combined fortune of over £14 billion.
