The state service VTsIOM has recorded a further decline in the approval rating of the President of the Russian Federation. The last time the figure was below 70% was just before the start of the war against Ukraine.
The approval rating of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, among Russians continues to decline, reported the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM), which is state-owned, on Friday, April 10. According to its data, from March 30 to April 5, Putin's approval rating was 67.8%, losing 2.3 percentage points over the week.
According to VTsIOM, the rating of the Russian president is the lowest since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation in 2022. It was lower only in the last survey before the war, and since February 24, it has not fallen below 70% until now.
When asked, "Do you trust Putin?" 73.8% of respondents answered positively, which is 0.8 percentage points lower than the week before.
At the beginning of February, the approval rating was 75.1%, and the trust rating was 78.7%. In March, the figures dropped for the first time to levels lower than those recorded on February 20, 2022 - four days before the war. At that time, the approval rating was 64.3%, and the trust level was 67.2%, according to data from "Deutsche Welle."
