In Germany, the US and Israel's attack on Iran is considered a violation of international law.

Bundestag officials have deemed the US and Israel's attack on Iran a violation of international law. This information is published by the news agency DPA citing a conclusion from the scientific service of the German parliament.

Experts analyzed the situation regarding Iran at the request of the Left Party faction, concluding that the actions of the US and Israel constitute a violation of the prohibition on the use of force enshrined in the UN Charter. This assessment was made in light of the fact that the mentioned countries do not fall under the provision regarding the right to self-defense and the military operation was not approved by the UN Security Council.

In addition, Bundestag representatives examined the issue of the US using its military bases in Germany to strike Iran as complicity on the part of Germany. Furthermore, scholars discussed whether the Federal Republic should bear responsibility from an international legal perspective.

Experts concluded that "given the specific circumstances of the use of [bases], it cannot be ruled out in any case." At the same time, the role of such military bases in Germany, like Ramstein, in the conflict surrounding Iran remains unclear. There is also no information on whether this base is used in US attacks on targets in the Islamic Republic.
