The IDF announced the destruction of the aircraft used by the supreme leader of Iran.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that the Israeli Air Force (IAF) destroyed an aircraft used by the supreme leader of Iran at Mehrabad Airport in Tehran on the night of Monday, March 16.
According to the IDF, this aircraft was also used by the former leader Ali Khamenei, as well as other high-ranking officials and Iranian military personnel "to facilitate military procurements and coordinate with allied countries for both domestic and international flights." The IDF published a satellite image of the airport, as well as an old photo of the aircraft.
"The destruction of the aircraft disrupts the Iranian regime's leadership capabilities to coordinate with allied countries, its efforts to enhance military power, and its ability to restore its capabilities," the Israeli army claims. They promised to continue to "act to weaken any means used by the military forces of the Iranian regime."
