Israeli authorities believe that Azerbaijan will join strikes against Iran after the drone attack in Nakhchivan and the prevention of terrorist attacks. This was reported by the Israeli channel Kan.
According to sources in Tel Aviv, more countries than previously thought may join military actions against Iran and its interests in the region.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated during a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin that his country did not attack Azerbaijan. He emphasized that Tehran has never aimed to attack its neighbors.
On March 5, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported an attack by two Iranian drones on the territory of the country. Strikes were reported on an airport and a school in Nakhchivan. Azerbaijan accused the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of preparing a terrorist attack in the country.
