American aviation may temporarily use France's bases in Middle Eastern countries, French TF1 and BFM TV report.

"As part of our relations with the United States, the presence of their aircraft at our bases in the region has been temporarily authorized. These aircraft help protect our partners in the Persian Gulf," the defense ministry stated to BFM TV, as quoted by "Meduza".

The U.S. and Israel have been conducting airstrikes on Iran since February 28. In response, Iran has attacked many countries in the Middle East with drones and missiles, primarily targeting U.S. allies in the region.

Previously, Spain did not allow the U.S. to use its bases in the region for the war against Iran. In response, Donald Trump stated that the U.S. intends to completely sever trade relations with Spain. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, commenting on Trump's statement, said, "We will not be complicit in what is bad for the world out of fear of anyone's revenge."

The authorities in the United Kingdom, as reported by The Times, also did not allow the U.S. to use their bases for strikes against Iran. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that the UK believes it is right to resolve the situation diplomatically rather than using force.
