Such concerts on Red Square have been held annually since 2003, reminded the Telegram channel "Agency. News." The show was not canceled even during the pandemic in 2020.
Initially, the large-scale celebration "In the Unity of Peoples - the Strength of Russia," which was supposed to take place under the auspices of the All-Russian Festival-Marathon "Songs of Russia," was announced by the team of Nadezhda Babkina, writes MSK1.RU.

Performances by singer Shaman, Larisa Dolina, Tatyana Kurtukova, Alexander Buynov, and other famous musicians were announced. "All these years, I have been driven by one inner dream: I wanted to hold a festival-marathon concert on Red Square," the publication quoted Babkina.
On June 12, the program of the channel "Russia 1" featured "The Grand Festive Concert Dedicated to Russia Day." "Broadcasting - from Red Square. We celebrate Russia Day together in the main square of the country!" - said the description on the channel's website.
A parade without military equipment
According to MSK1.RU, in the end, the list of initially announced stars was reduced, and the venue changed. What the final list of performances will look like is still unknown.
In 2025, Shaman, Nikolai Baskov, Tatyana Kurtukova, Alexander Rosenbaum, Valeria, and other artists performed near the Kremlin.
This year, on May 9, a parade for Victory Day took place on Red Square for the first time since 2007 without military equipment.
