Only a quarter of Americans support U.S. strikes against Iran. Almost half are against the war.
Only a quarter of U.S. residents (27%) support the United States' operation in Iran, according to a survey conducted by Reuters and the research company Ipsos, as reported by "Meduza".
Opposition to the attacks comes from 43% of Americans, while another 29% were unsure how to respond to the question.
Support levels vary significantly depending on party preferences. Among Republican supporters, 55% support strikes against Iran (13% oppose, 32% have no opinion), while only 7% of Democratic supporters are in favor (74% oppose, 19% were unsure).
Reuters notes that the survey was conducted before news of the deaths of several American servicemen became known.
