As a result of strikes by Israel and the U.S. on Iran on Saturday, 201 people died, and 747 were injured, reported the Iranian Red Crescent on Saturday evening, according to LETA citing AFP.
In the affected areas, 220 teams from the Red Crescent are working, and rescue operations are ongoing, reported a representative of the organization's press office.
As a result of the strikes, 24 out of 31 provinces of Iran were affected.
In Minab, in the Hormozgan province in southern Iran, a missile hit a girls' elementary school, resulting in at least 85 deaths, the region's prosecutor's office reported.
It was reported that on Saturday, Israel and the United States struck Iran, and as a result of the missile attacks, both the capital Tehran and other cities were affected.
Iran retaliated with strikes on Israel, as well as on U.S. military facilities in Bahrain and other countries in the Persian Gulf.
