Sikorski: Poland cannot afford to be a sucker in relations with the US.
Poland remains an ally of the United States but cannot afford to 'be a sucker' in its relations with Washington. This was stated by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, as reported by The Guardian.
"Can we be sure that the interests of the US will continue to align with the interests of Poland? We have been and will remain a loyal ally of America, but we cannot afford to be suckers," he said.
The minister also expressed concerns that the US might make concessions to Russia in Eastern Europe to weaken the ties between Moscow and Beijing.
Earlier, Sikorski stated that the war in Ukraine will determine the winner in the struggle between Russia and the European Union. According to him, whoever prevails in this confrontation will become the third pillar of a new global balance of power alongside the US and China.
