Member of the European Parliament Vilis Kristopans on whether the calls from the leaders of the White House will be heard in the European Union.
"In Latvia, the thaw has finally arrived. However, we will have to wait several more years for a political thaw in the European Union - I mean the rise to power of right-conservative politicians in EU countries!" said Member of the European Parliament Vilis Kristopans ("Patriots of Europe" - "Latvia First").
"Out of the 27 EU member states, only three have conservative forces in power. Of the 720 MEPs, only about 200 adhere to conservative, traditional values. Last year, U.S. Vice President Vance, and this year, U.S. Secretary of State Rubio, called on Europe to protect itself and its future in Munich. However, with the current European Commission, no positive changes are to be expected - the destructive 'green course' will continue, pride events will persist, there will still be 100 genders instead of two, and migration policy will encourage further influx of citizens from third countries... Meanwhile, the U.S. will continue to develop economically, and everything will be fine there!" commented the situation in the EU with sadness, MEP Kristopans.
