Poland will help Ukraine accelerate its accession to the European Union (EU). This was stated by the speaker of the Polish Sejm, Wlodzimierz Czarzasty, during a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Ruslan Stefanchuk in Kyiv, as reported by Onet.
"We will help you join the European Union. You will enter the European Union," he emphasized.
In his speech, Wlodzimierz Czarzasty pointed out the difficult moments in the history of Polish-Ukrainian relations but added that it is important to draw the right conclusions from it. The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Stefanchuk, for his part, thanked Poland for the support already provided.
Wlodzimierz Czarzasty and Ruslan Stefanchuk also signed a declaration of support from the Polish parliament for Ukraine's aspiration to join the EU.
