The Polish police are preparing for a surge in crime after the end of the war in Ukraine, reports the publication Wyborcza.
"We must realize that sooner or later many former soldiers from the front lines in Ukraine will appear in Poland. As well as more modern weapons that will be in demand in criminal circles," said Police Commander-in-Chief General Marek Boroń.
The general added that criminal groups are also preparing for the end of the war, anticipating a surge in demand for drugs and psychotropic substances.
According to him, many drug factories are already being built in Poland and Ukraine, and the special services of both countries are cooperating to eliminate them.
As for the timing of the end of the war, it is unlikely to end in 2026. This opinion was expressed by former U.S. Army Commander in Europe General Ben Hodges in a comment to Novini.LIVE journalist.
