After cloudy and rainy days, more pleasant weather is expected in Latvia. According to meteorologists' forecasts, on Wednesday the sun will shine in many regions of the country, and precipitation will decrease.
Light rain is possible only in some areas. More intense short-term precipitation is forecasted in certain regions of the eastern part of the country.
Daytime temperatures will range from +16 to +21 degrees. It will be warmest away from the coast, while near the sea, cooler weather will persist — around +12 to +15 degrees.
A weak wind is expected, predominantly from the north and northwest. As a result, the day will feel noticeably more comfortable than at the beginning of the week.
In Riga, meteorologists do not forecast significant precipitation. The sun will occasionally shine in the capital, and the air will warm up to about +16 degrees. It will remain cooler by the sea — around +12.
The weather in the region is currently determined by an area of high atmospheric pressure. This means more stable conditions and fewer abrupt weather changes.
In the second half of May, such periods of warmth and sunshine are becoming more frequent, although nights in Latvia remain cool for now.
