The next round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, mediated by the United States, will take place in Abu Dhabi on February 1. This was announced on Saturday, January 24, by a U.S. official during a conference call with media representatives on the condition of anonymity.
He described the first direct negotiations between Ukraine and Russia in Abu Dhabi as a "significant step," AFP reports.
"We saw a lot of respect between the parties in the room because they were genuinely seeking solutions," he noted. "We got down to the finest details, and next Sunday, God willing, will be another meeting where we will advance this deal towards its final conclusion."
