The Environmental Agency has issued a storm warning for Sunday for the entire marine area and half of mainland Estonia; additionally, heavy snowfall is expected in some areas.
The warning is in effect in Lääne- and Ida-Viru County, Harju County, Läänemaa, Rapla County, Pärnu County, on Hiiumaa, Saaremaa, and in the marine area. In Northern and Western Estonia, gusts of northeast wind will reach 15 m/s, and up to 22 m/s along the coast. Snow will fall in some areas, with a blizzard expected mainly in Western and Northern Estonia. Snow cover will increase by 5–10 centimeters.
This is a level one warning, which means that under certain conditions, the weather may pose a danger. This should be taken into account if human activities depend on the weather.
