Martinez included 27 players in the squad. The final roster for the World Cup can consist of a maximum of 26 players.
In addition to Ronaldo, the Portugal squad includes Joao Felix, Bernardo Silva, Bruno Fernandes, Vitinha, Joao Neves, Nuno Mendes, Rafael Leao, and others.
Portugal will play in Group K against Colombia, Uzbekistan, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The team will play its first match on June 17 in Houston against the Congo national team.
Ronaldo holds the record among male footballers for the most matches and goals for the national team: 226 games and 143 goals. He also remains the only footballer to have scored in five World Cups.
