Orban called the U.S. operation in Venezuela the collapse of the liberal world order.
The U.S. military operation in Venezuela signifies the collapse of the liberal world order. This was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on his Facebook account.
"In the early days of this year, we received an important reminder that the liberal world order is crumbling. The election of President Trump brought him a pardon. However, the new world is still turbulent. More windy, unpredictable, and dangerous years are ahead," the politician noted.
Orban also emphasized that the Hungarian people will have to make their choice in April amidst the collapsing world order. Thus, he referred to the upcoming parliamentary elections that will take place this year.
On the night of Saturday, January 3, U.S. Armed Forces launched a series of missile strikes on facilities in Venezuela. Military bases, an oil refinery, and the parliament building were targeted. It later became known that U.S. special forces captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. He was taken to New York, where, according to Trump, he will stand trial.
