Hungary hopes for the lifting of sanctions against Russia in 2026 after the conflict in Ukraine is resolved. This was stated by the country's Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
"We believe that sanctions against Russia should be lifted after the conflict in Ukraine is over," the head of the Hungarian government pointed out.
Orban added that anti-Russian restrictions harm the European Union (EU) itself. According to him, Budapest has long opposed these measures from Brussels.
Earlier, Orban stated that the U.S. military operation in Venezuela signifies the collapse of the liberal world order. The Prime Minister also emphasized that the Hungarian people will have to make their choice in April amid a crumbling world order. Thus, he referred to the upcoming parliamentary elections, which will take place this year.
