The commander of the Central Military District, Major General Avi Blout, urged the military to be ready for the possibility of a sudden outbreak of war.
He made the corresponding warning after conducting an inspection of units in Judea and Samaria.
"The basic scenario we must be prepared for is readiness for a sudden war. We are obligated to maintain a high level of readiness and vigilance," he said.
According to the IDF, the sudden inspection was conducted on December 30. The readiness of three battalions from three brigades and two divisions was checked.
According to Blout, inspections are a vital tool for maintaining operational readiness. They allow commanders to identify gaps, learn, improve all processes, and continuously enhance combat readiness.
According to the IDF, the results of the inspection will be used to strengthen preparedness.
