Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu flew to the USA, where he is scheduled to hold talks with White House Chief Donald Trump. The meeting is set for Monday, December 29.
According to Kan, Netanyahu plans to discuss with the American president issues related to the transition to the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, Turkey's involvement in international forces for the Palestinian enclave, as well as a possible attack on Iranian-related missile production facilities.
It is expected that the head of the Israeli cabinet will stay in the USA for five days, conducting a number of additional meetings during his visit, including with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Earlier, it became known that Netanyahu lost the support of all key figures in the Trump administration, except for the president himself, who, however, also wanted "the deal on Gaza to progress faster than it is now."
