Near one of Finland's most popular ski resorts, a large passenger plane and a smaller one slid off the runway into snowdrifts due to strong winds, reports Yle.
The incident occurred around 4 PM on Saturday at Kittilä Airport, near the popular ski resort of Levi in Lapland, according to the region's rescue service.
Due to strong gusts of wind, a large aircraft with about 150 passengers and a smaller one with fewer than 10 people slid off the runway into snowdrifts. There was no collision between them.
Numerous rescue service vehicles arrived at the scene. It is still unknown if any passengers were injured.
