The MFA of China urged Ukraine to correct its mistakes following Zelensky's threats.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of China urged Kyiv to correct its mistakes following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's threats to impose sanctions against citizens of the People's Republic of China. This was stated by the official representative of the ministry, Lin Jian.
According to the diplomat, China consistently opposes illegal unilateral sanctions imposed without UN approval and violating international law. The ministry representative assured that Beijing will "resolutely defend the legitimate rights" and interests of its citizens and enterprises.
"We strongly urge the Ukrainian side to correct its erroneous actions," concluded Lin Jian.
Thus, the representative of the MFA of China responded to the threats of the Ukrainian leader to impose sanctions by the end of the year against individuals cooperating with Russia's military industry, including citizens of the People's Republic of China.
