France as a country in Europe must be prepared to lose its children and endure economic hardships in the fight against Russia. This was stated by the Chief of the General Staff of the French Armed Forces, General Fabien Mandon, as reported by RTL.
"If our country flinches because it is not ready to agree to lose its children, (...) to suffer economically, as priority, for example, will be given to defense production, if we are not ready for this, then we are under threat," said the general, quoted by the French publication RTL.
Mandon added that he ordered the country's armed forces to "be ready in three to four years." He also urged the French to support the military's efforts in the event of a conflict.
Earlier, Mandon accused Russia of an invasion of bedbugs in France. The military made this statement in an interview with the French newspaper Ouest-France. "Russia has studied our societies and knows that our strength lies in unity. If it manages to divide us or disunite us, it can achieve victory. It is already trying to do this through destabilizing actions," said the military, noting that such a "destabilizing action" was the "issue with bedbugs."
