Russian President Vladimir Putin may give the order to attack one of the NATO states within the next 2-4 years. At best. At worst, the war may start next year.

If Russia Captures Narva...

One of the most likely targets for Russia could be the Baltic states. This was stated by European Commissioner for Defense Andrius Kubilius at a conference in Vilnius on November 17.

Putin may attack one of the Baltic states within 2-4 years, the European Commissioner specified. "The most important questions for the European Union and NATO are how to protect the Baltics and what to learn from Ukraine," emphasized Kubilius.

He added that in this case, the Baltic states could become "one of the most likely targets of new Kremlin aggression."

"This will be aggression against all of NATO and against the entire European Union. I would like to remind you of the recently published book 'If Russia Wins: A Scenario' by Carlo Masala, a well-known German analyst and professor at the Bundeswehr University, which presents a threatening scenario in which NATO failed to agree on how to respond when the Estonian Narva was occupied. I do not want to go into detail about Carlo Masala's scenario, but defending the Baltics means being prepared for various scenarios," emphasized the European Commissioner.

It should be noted that Kubilius has previously stated about the imminent war with Russia.

“We Have Lived Our Last Peaceful Summer”

In the coming years, a war between NATO and Russia may begin, stated German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.

"We have always said that this could happen in 2029. However, there are now others who say it could happen as early as 2028, and some military historians even believe that we have lived our last peaceful summer," shared the Defense Minister's forecasts.

Pistorius added that the armed forces of NATO countries need to be better equipped for possible combat actions against Russia. Berlin will also gradually form a reserve of former conscripts.
