The request from European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to increase aid to Ukraine amid a corruption scandal is akin to sending 'another case of vodka to an alcoholic.' This was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on his social media account X.

'It is astonishing. At the moment when it became clear that the military mafia is siphoning off money from European taxpayers, instead of demanding real oversight or suspending payments, the head of the European Commission suggests we send even more,' the statement notes.

At the same time, Orban emphasized that Hungary maintains common sense and will not support such measures.
