A specially created commission, headed by US President Donald Trump, will take the lead in this process.
Ukraine and its allies are jointly developing a peace plan; it will be a single document. There are no alternative "plans" from individual countries.
This was stated by the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, in response to a question from a correspondent of RBC-Ukraine.
"There are many media reports about alternative 'plans,' claiming that the US has one, the EU has another, and individual countries have their own. I want to state clearly that this is not the case. There are no different plans from which we choose. Moreover, there are no plans from which someone else chooses. There are working discussions on the formulations, but all partners are in continuous communication," Yermak said.
As the head of the President's Office emphasized, the outcome will be a single document, jointly developed by Ukraine and its partners, which will take into account Ukrainian interests.
"This is not about competing initiatives. It is about finding synergy - Ukraine, the EU, the US, and other partners. Of course, US participation is fundamental," Yermak said.
"Presidents (of Ukraine Volodymyr, - ed.) Zelensky and (of the US Donald, - ed.) Trump, as well as European leaders, equally believe that any negotiations should begin with a ceasefire and along the current line of contact. All partners agree that for diplomats to work successfully, the fire must be stopped. We highly value President Trump's leadership as a peacemaker and believe that he can help Ukraine achieve a just, sustainable peace with reliable security guarantees," the head of the President's Office added.
As Yermak explained, next Monday, November 3, following the meeting of the leaders of the coalition countries, there will be an online coalition meeting at the level of national security advisors.
"There we will discuss all ideas to synchronize positions and develop further steps," Yermak said.
"The President of Ukraine is constantly in touch with all leaders of partner countries. Our team - which includes the Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Security and Defense Council, and others - works with their counterparts. I speak almost every day with national security and defense advisors of the leaders. The war continues here; Ukraine is under aggression - therefore, the final configuration of the plan regarding the parameters of the peace agreement will be up to us. This is a matter of justice and common sense," the head of the President's Office noted.
Peace Plan of Europe and Ukraine
According to insider reports cited by Bloomberg, Ukraine and its European partners are jointly working on a peace initiative that includes twelve key provisions.
It is expected that a specially created peace commission, headed by US President Donald Trump, will take the lead in this process. It remains uncertain whether this initiative has official support in Washington.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently confirmed that at the end of this week, advisors from Ukraine and EU leaders will meet to discuss in detail the concept of ending Russian aggression.
At the same time, according to sources from RBC-Ukraine, progress in forming the final peace plan for Ukraine will largely depend on the results of negotiations that took place between Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
