Zaluzhny Declared a 'Global War' 0 13

The former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), now the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom, Valeriy Zaluzhny, stated that the conflict in Ukraine has escalated into a 'global war'. He wrote about this in his article for the publication 'Ukrainian Truth'.

According to Zaluzhny, the fourth year of the Ukrainian conflict has led to 'the collapse of the ideas and theories on which the very notion of the world order was based'. In his article, the former commander refers to Europe as 'a neighbor in the global war'.

Moreover, he emphasized that no country in the world is capable of independently enduring the current level of intensity of hostilities, and thus 'fully meeting the entire range of defense needs'.

Zaluzhny also referred to history, stating about populism in the political environment. 'Another problem of our former leaders was the postponement of unpopular steps for the sake of short-term popularity and adherence to populist promises,' said the former commander-in-chief.
