Trump's Statement to Zelensky on Tomahawk Deliveries Becomes Known

WSJ: Trump told Zelensky that he should not expect prompt deliveries of Tomahawk.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated during a meeting at the White House with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky that he should not expect prompt deliveries of Tomahawk cruise missiles. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

"According to two American officials, Trump told Zelensky that Ukraine should not count on the quick delivery of long-range 'Tomahawk' missiles," the publication states.

Earlier, Trump mentioned in a conversation with American journalists that Zelensky's request for the transfer of Tomahawk cruise missiles to Kyiv is still under consideration. The U.S. President noted that he does not want to jeopardize his country, so this issue is still being studied.

Previously, Trump stated that Washington cannot supply weapons to Ukraine at the expense of its own interests. Speaking about the possibility of transferring Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, he emphasized that the U.S. itself needs them.
