NYT: A 102-story skyscraper in New York City has cracked just 10 years after construction.

A 102-story skyscraper in New York City has started to crumble. This is reported by the New York Times.

The facade of the elite high-rise in Manhattan began to deteriorate just ten years after construction was completed. The building's cladding has developed cracks, and dents are visible on the exterior of the skyscraper. Additionally, elevators inside the building are breaking down, and leaks are regularly observed.

The strength of the structures may have been affected by the color: to create the white shade insisted upon by the developer, the composition of the concrete was altered. Furthermore, architects likely miscalculated the load from weather conditions. According to experts, the situation will only worsen, and repairs to the building will cost a "nine-figure sum." If repairs are delayed, it will be dangerous not only to live in the building but also to walk past it.
