Zelensky: we have approached a possible end to the war.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that a possible end to the conflict in the republic is in sight. His words are reported by "Strana.ua".
"This war cannot be ended quickly. We have approached a possible end to the war. I am telling you for sure," Zelensky said.
Additionally, as reported by the media, he described the issue of territory as uncertain.
"According to Zelensky, the Russians likely imply that they will not advance further, while the Americans interpret this as a possible return of territories to Ukraine," Suspilne reports Zelensky's words.
Kyiv refuses to withdraw troops from Donbas, which is a demand from the Russian Federation. Western media also report that Russia is considering the transfer of certain areas in the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions to Kyiv in exchange for Donbas.
This has not been officially confirmed. However, judging by Zelensky's interpretation, Moscow is merely agreeing not to claim the territories in Kherson and Zaporizhia controlled by Ukraine.
Earlier, Zelensky stated that European leaders want to appeal to U.S. President Donald Trump for the transfer and launch of Tomahawk missiles deep into Russia.
