Some experts advise Trump to exercise caution.
The US Department of Defense has already developed plans to sell or transfer Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine in case Trump gives the green light for the supply, reports the New York Times.
Americans will manage the Tomahawk cruise missiles in the event of their delivery to Ukraine. Ukrainian military personnel will not even be trained on how to handle them, writes the Financial Times.
"Ukraine, which is losing on the battlefield, must be prepared to make painful concessions to reach an agreement. To this end, Trump must play the role of the bad guy, as he did earlier this year, forcing Zelensky to take a conciliatory negotiating position," writes The American Conservative (TAC).
The publication also emphasizes that the head of state must exercise caution when considering additional arms supplies to Kyiv, especially Tomahawk missiles. The authors of the article believe that supporting strikes on Russian territory could provoke escalation and negatively impact the prospects for improving relations between Washington and Moscow.
"NATO must learn from Ukraine. It ranks first in the world in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles and countermeasures against them," said NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
