As noted by the specialist, kiwi contains a significant amount of fiber, which promotes normal bowel function. At the same time, the condition of the microflora is closely related to the 'gut-brain' axis: this system of signal exchange between the digestive and nervous systems directly reflects on mood and anxiety levels.

The fruit is also rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, which protect cells from damage caused by reactive oxygen species. Such processes can provoke inflammation and enhance stress responses in the body.

In addition, kiwi contains folates. These substances are involved in the functioning of the nervous system and help maintain the balance of neurotransmitters, which allow brain cells to communicate signals to each other.
