It is impossible not to love chocolate fondant. Just think: a soft (hyper)chocolate dessert with a warm chocolate center, so tender and appetizingly flowing from the pastry.
Another advantage of this dessert is its simplicity in preparation. All you will need are the most familiar ingredients and less than an hour of your time.
Ingredients:
– 220 g dark chocolate
– 4 eggs
– 80 g flour
– 150 g sugar
– 180 g lightly salted butter
– a scoop of vanilla ice cream and/or berries (for decoration)
Preparation:
-
Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave or in a water bath. It is important to stir the mixture every 30 seconds until it melts and becomes smooth.
-
Melt the butter. Place it in the microwave for 50 seconds.
-
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
-
In a separate bowl, mix the eggs and sugar until frothy. In another bowl, combine the melted chocolate and butter. Mix the contents of the two bowls (eggs/sugar and chocolate/butter).
-
Gradually add the flour to the resulting mixture.
-
Grease the molds with butter. Place the batter in the oven for: 15 minutes for a more liquid batter, 20-25 minutes for a denser texture of the finished cake.
-
Serve the dessert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, berries, or simply dust the fondant with powdered sugar.
Tip: Before serving, turn the fondant molds upside down onto serving plates. Leave them in that position for 15 seconds. After that, you can serve.
