The doctor warned about the strange sensations that occur before a heart attack.
The expert noted that patients often report experiencing strange sensations in the upper half of the body.
Discomfort may radiate to the shoulder, abdomen, arms, back, neck, and even the jaw. Heartburn and stomach upset can signal negative dynamics. If shortness of breath accompanies these ailments, one should visit a cardiologist without delay.
According to medical professionals, more than 50% of patients hospitalized with a heart attack noticed unpleasant sensations in the chest. Moreover, as cardiologist and medical science candidate Anna Korenovich noted, they describe this as unpleasant sensations rather than pain. People feel "pressure, squeezing, or heat in the chest."
She also warned that heaviness or burning in both the left and right arms simultaneously is a concerning sign. If such a condition lasts longer than 10 minutes, it is necessary to call for emergency assistance as soon as possible.
