The rocker’s beloved never thought she would join the ranks of those affected by the lawlessness that reigns in the capital of the United Kingdom.
The surge of street crime is once again being observed in London. This time, the victim of an attack was Mick Jagger’s fiancée, ballerina Melanie Hamrick. The incident occurred in the prestigious Mayfair area, outside the private club Annabels Mayfair on Berkeley Square.
38-year-old Hamrick spoke about the incident on social media. “It’s incredibly hard for me to talk about this, but today at Annabels Mayfair, I was attacked. Two men grabbed me from behind. I am shocked, saddened, and heartbroken that people can treat each other this way,” she shared. Fortunately, the ballerina was with friends who were able to protect her. “I am so grateful to my friends for protecting me. Thank God there were kind people who came to my aid,” added the rock musician’s fiancée. Melanie Hamrick and Mick Jagger have been together for over ten years, and the couple has a nine-year-old son, Deveraux. The 82-year-old lead singer of The Rolling Stones has a total of eight children from five different women, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

The incident involving Hamrick is just one episode in a series of crimes that have engulfed the British capital. As reported by the Daily Mail, London has increasingly begun to resemble a film set for a disaster movie. Criminals are smashing the windows of elite boutiques like Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent, and jewelry stores Gregory & Co and Sultan with sledgehammers, ramming doors with SUVs, and even driving motorcycles straight into the premises.
