You should not fully trust a selfish person. Moreover, a selfish person always chooses himself, his comfort, and convenience, which means he will never sacrifice anything for you.
He lacks empathy

And this is quite understandable; such a person simply does not feel guilt for their treachery. If you notice that a person lacks even a shred of empathy, you should protect yourself from interacting with him.
He cannot keep his mouth shut
