Breakfast in 5 Minutes: Lazy Khachapuri on the Skillet

Lazy khachapuri with liquid batter are prepared in just 5 minutes and will make a great breakfast for the whole family. Soft and juicy inside, with a golden crust outside, they cook quickly, require no complicated ingredients, and will delight with their taste from the very first bite.

Ingredients:

  • Egg — 1 pc.
  • Sour cream — 3 tbsp.
  • Salt — a pinch
  • Baking powder — ¼ tsp.
  • Flour — 2 tbsp.
  • Hard cheese — 50 g

Preparation:

  1. In a bowl, whisk the egg with sour cream and a pinch of salt until smooth. Add the baking powder and flour, mixing until the batter is liquid, like for pancakes.
  2. Heat a skillet and grease it with a small amount of oil. Pour half of the batter and fry on both sides until golden brown.
  3. On the cooked pancake, place grated cheese and immediately pour the remaining batter over it. Cover with a lid and cook over medium heat until the top sets and the cheese completely melts.
  4. Flip the khachapuri and fry for another minute on the other side. Serve hot, cut into portioned pieces.

These khachapuri turn out soft, fragrant, and nutritious — the perfect breakfast for a quick start to the day.
