Purchase the tree in the twenties of December, no earlier. The less time that has passed since cutting, the better.
Ask the seller for the cutting date. The tree brought home should not be immediately set up indoors after purchase.
Allow the tree to acclimatize a bit by leaving it in a cold garage or on a balcony for a few days. Place the tree away from radiators and heaters. The tree should be in a water solution (add a few tablespoons of sugar or aspirin) or in a moist substrate, so take care to have a special container, pot, or stand with a reservoir in advance.
Water the tree twice a week and mist its branches and crown with water.
