The Christmas Market in the Kalnciema Quarter has long become an essential part of the winter city atmosphere and invites everyone to the traditional market on Saturdays until December 27, with a special welcome for guests on Sunday, December 21!
In addition, a warm and inspiring Pop-up modern ceramics market will open in the gallery, where from December 6 to January 3, about 20 talented ceramicists from all over Latvia will present their works.
At the Christmas market, everyone will find something special: unusual gifts from Latvian artisans and designers, bread from a wood-fired oven, authentic Alsunga sklandrausis, as well as other products from local farmers — from hemp chocolate to pine cone syrups and partridge juice. Here, you can also choose the greenest Christmas tree and try a hot drink from a wooden mug. In a cozy café in a wooden house from the 19th century, guests will be treated to mulled wine made from wines of the Italian region — the perfect accompaniment for long winter conversations.
This year, in addition to the market, a festive cultural program has been prepared for visitors: concerts on the open stage, cheerful gnomes, pleasant surprises for families, and creative activities for children.
