A warm, thick, aromatic chicken soup is something that both children and adults will enjoy. With the secret ingredient, it will be even more filling, tender, and hearty.
Chicken Soup
Ingredients
✓ 2 chicken drumsticks;
✓ 2 chicken thighs;
✓ 1 chicken wing;
✓ 2 carrots;
✓ 2 onions;
✓ A small piece of young cabbage;
✓ 2.5 tablespoons of semolina;
✓ Bay leaf;
✓ Greens (any);
✓ 1 clove of garlic;
✓ Vegetable oil.
Preparation
-
Pour water over the chicken thighs, wings, and drumsticks, add an onion, a carrot, a bay leaf, and bring the broth to a boil.
-
In a saucepan, pour a little vegetable oil, add grated carrot, and sauté it. Then add the finely chopped onion and diced young cabbage.
-
Salt everything and sauté. Do not fry too much.
-
Strain the finished broth. Add the chicken meat to the sautéed vegetables. Season with pepper and salt, mix, and add the strained broth. Add liquid to your preference — whether you want a thin or thick soup.
-
Once the broth boils, sprinkle in the semolina while stirring the soup with a whisk. For a volume of 3 liters, about 2.5 tablespoons of semolina will be needed. It gives thickness and richness to the soup and serves as a "binder" to keep the vegetables from separating from the broth.
-
Finely chop the greens and the clove of garlic, then add this mixture to the pot with the soup.
