Flagship Smartphones Huawei Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max Introduced

Gradient smartphones are making a comeback.

Huawei has introduced the flagship Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max. Both smartphones feature a flat metal frame and a triangular camera island.

The design includes gradient colors, including orange, for the first time since the P30 series. The devices are protected with an IP68/IP69 rating.

The Huawei Pura 90 Pro is equipped with a 6.6-inch OLED display, while the Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display. Both screens support LTPO, FHD+ resolution, high PWM frequency, and are protected by Kunlun Glass.

A key focus is on the cameras with XMAGE technology. The Pura 90 Pro features a 50-megapixel main module with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, a variable aperture of f/1.4–f/4.0, optical stabilization (OIS), and an RYYB filter, a 50 MP telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom, as well as a 12.5-megapixel ultra-wide and an additional TrueColor module.

The Pro Max version offers a 50-megapixel main sensor with LOFIC technology and a 10-step variable aperture, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide module with an f/2.2 aperture, and the main novelty — a 200-megapixel periscope module with a telephoto lens and a 1/1.28-inch sensor.

The smartphones run on the Kirin 9030S SoC powered by HarmonyOS 6.1 with an AI agent. They support 100W wired, 80W wireless, and 18W reverse charging.
