NYP: retired US Air Force officer Salas accused UFOs of destroying nuclear missiles.
Retired US Air Force officer Robert Salas has blamed UFOs for the disabling of several nuclear missiles at a base in Montana in the 1960s. This information was reported by the newspaper The New York Post (NYP).
The serviceman recounted that in 1967, the military lost control over ten Minuteman I ballistic missiles. "The chief guard calls from below and says, 'Sir, we saw strange lights in the sky, flying right above us,'" Salas detailed.
At first, he did not take these words seriously, but after a few minutes, he received another call from the guard. He shouted into the phone that unidentified objects were hovering over the base gates, pulsating with a reddish light. Then an alarm sounded — all ten missiles went into 'no-launch' mode.
According to the officer, the guards assigned to check the launch silos were terrified of the lights hovering in the sky. Salas clarified that the Air Force investigation could not determine the exact cause of the incident, and the team was made to sign non-disclosure agreements.
"There is another civilization out there that is visiting us and is concerned that we will destroy this planet in a nuclear war, for many reasons, some of which we may not even understand," the military man suggested.
Earlier, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth was tasked with releasing government documents related to extraterrestrial life and UFOs. Prior to this, it was suggested that when discussing aliens, former US President Barack Obama revealed classified information.
