A planet with a temperature of -70°C has been found 146 light-years from Earth.

Scientists from Australia, the USA, the UK, and Denmark have discovered a potentially habitable planet HD 137010 b, located 146 light-years from Earth. This is reported by the scientific journal Astrophysical Journal.

The study notes that this is the first candidate for a planet with a radius and orbital characteristics similar to those of Earth that transits in front of a star similar to the Sun. Researchers reported that the planet's radius is six percent larger than that of Earth. Additionally, the surface temperature of the planet may be comparable to that of Mars, at less than -70 degrees Celsius.
