Выглядит приятно, но может оказаться вредным.

The drink contains many bioactive compounds that directly affect blood pressure.

Many people drink coffee - black or with milk, homemade or bought at a café. However, not everyone knows what should not be consumed with coffee - Health has published a list of six products that are better consumed separately.

What Should Not Be Consumed with Coffee - List of Products

Millions of people drink coffee daily, but there are things that should not be added to coffee, as well as eaten with it, otherwise it can provoke stomach upset or interfere with the body’s absorption of beneficial substances. Health listed the prohibited products and liquids that do not pair well with coffee.

Citrus Fruits

The first thing that should not be consumed with coffee is oranges, mandarins, and other citrus fruits. Studies have shown that consuming the drink along with such fruits can cause gastrointestinal upset, nausea, bloating, and heartburn. Additionally, the acid in citrus fruits can alter the taste of coffee and make it bitter.

Red Meat

Pork, beef, lamb, and other types of red meat are excellent sources of iron, but coffee affects how this element is absorbed by the body. Scientists from the Korean National Health and Nutrition Research Institute found that drinking a beverage, for example, with steak reduces its health benefits.

Milk

Milk strengthens bones, improves muscle function, hormone production speed, and blood clotting. This product saturates the body with calcium - just one cup of skim milk contains 23% of the daily requirement for an adult.

However, coffee with milk, on the contrary, reduces the absorption of this beneficial element. All the calcium that the body does not absorb will be excreted in urine. Studies have shown that if the level is high, it can lead to an increased risk of kidney stones and bone problems. If you enjoy adding milk to your coffee, you will need to replenish your calcium intake with other products.

Fried Foods

Few people know that any fried food does not get absorbed with coffee - according to scientists, if you drink more than three cups a day, you may encounter dyslipidemia - as reported by the NMCD Journal. This condition occurs when the fat level in the blood is abnormally high. This can happen when combining coffee with fried foods, especially in large quantities.

Breakfast Cereals

Many "quick" breakfasts rich in grains are high in zinc, but coffee can hinder the absorption of this component. Although there are currently no studies that examine the relationship between coffee consumption and nutrient absorption from vitamin-enriched breakfast cereals in detail, it may be better to separate these two products. This is mentioned in a study published in the MDPI journal.

High Sodium Foods

Coffee contains many bioactive compounds that directly affect blood pressure. Studies show that consuming 1-3 cups of coffee a day is unlikely to have a negative impact on blood pressure levels.

However, excessive caffeine consumption can exacerbate hypertension (high blood pressure) - as stated in the Sciencedirect journal. Numerous studies have repeatedly demonstrated a direct correlation between sodium intake and blood pressure. Therefore, it may be wise to consume coffee with caution, especially if you are eating foods high in sodium.
