The space industry in Russia will become slightly more commercial.

Specialists from the Russian startup "Space Energy" have begun the procedure for coordinating the launch pad for the new rocket "Kamchatka," which has become the first private suborbital-class rocket in Russia.

During the first full launch, which is set to take place next year, "Kamchatka" will reach an altitude of 100 km above sea level and cross the Kármán line (the conditional boundary between the Earth's atmosphere and space), achieving speeds of around 5 Mach (6125 km/h) during flight.

"Kamchatka" is a single-stage solid-fuel rocket, with a carbon fiber body, and many structural elements and components are produced using 3D printing. The developers' engineers specify that the fuel loading density reaches 90%.

Recall that in November of this year, "Space Energy" successfully launched a prototype of the rocket, during which all systems were tested, and now it is preparing to enter the market for services to deliver equipment into orbit, having its own launch vehicle.
